Ben Larson, O.D.
Meet Dr. Ben Larson
Ben Larson, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana, in 1996. He completed his ocular disease and refractive surgery residency at the University of Alabama. Dr. Larson earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois, where he received the Dean’s Scholarship and a varsity letter for baseball and basketball.
Dr. Larson is a board-certified Optometric Physician certified by the National Board of Optometry (Parts I, II, and III) and the state of Florida. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology, the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Central Florida Optometric Association. He is a certified CRT orthokeratologist by Paragon Vision Sciences and has been published in Review of Optometry.
Dr. Larson has been honored by receiving the following awards: Outstanding and Dedicated Service to Prevent Blindness (1997), Best Optometrist in Seminole County (2003), and Best Eye Care Center in Seminole County (2007-2011). He is an honorary faculty member at Nova-Southeastern School of Optometry, the Houston School of Optometry, and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Dr. Larson resides in Lake Forest, Florida, with his wife, Christy Larson, O.D., and their three children, Blake Riley, Braeden Cole, and Bella Grace.
